Editorial & Verification Policy

The Expat Blueprint publishes guidance on immigration, professional licensing, and cross-border relocation — subject matter where a stale number costs the reader real money and real time. This policy explains how every figure in the 2026 edition is sourced, verified, dated, and corrected.

1. Sourcing standard

Every visa threshold, licensing requirement, income minimum, and processing window in the manual is traced to a primary source before publication:

Official government immigration portals — e.g. IRCC (Canada), the Department of Home Affairs (Australia), Immigration New Zealand, Make it in Germany, GOV.UK.
Professional licensing and registration bodies — e.g. AHPRA, NNAS, NMC, Trades Recognition Australia, the Red Seal Program.
At minimum one independent audit source cross-referencing the official figure.

A figure that cannot be verified at an official source does not ship. It is removed, or published explicitly labelled as an estimate.

2. The verify-flag system

Verify flag: Every operative figure in the manual carries a dated flag identifying its official source and the date it was last confirmed. The flag is an instruction to the reader: confirm this number at its official source before you act on it.

We use verify flags because immigration rules change faster than any book can. The flag tells you exactly where the number came from, when we last checked it, and where to re-check it yourself — which is the step that protects your application.

3. Single-author accountability

Nothing ships anonymously. Every figure in this manual is traced to its source, dated, and re-verified by one named person: Aaron Williams, author and publisher of record. There is no editorial board diffusing responsibility — if a figure is wrong, it is on the record as his, and corrections are made the same way. The sourcing and verification standard is documented throughout this policy.

4. Update cadence

The manual is a dated reference manuscript. The current release is the 2026 edition; figures are re-audited each release cycle, and the edition tracks dated regulatory events (for example, 2026 Express Entry category draws, the Australian Subclass 482 income threshold change effective July 1, 2026, and Germany's Chancenkarte financial requirement). Free tools on this site, including the Visa Points Calculator, carry their own current-as-of flags.

5. Corrections

If you find a figure that disagrees with its official source, email expatblueprintguide@gmail.com with the page reference and the official link. Correction reports are reviewed promptly; confirmed corrections are fixed in the next update, and buyers of the current edition receive updated files through their original download link.

6. What this publication is — and is not

This guide is for general informational and educational purposes only and is not legal, tax, or immigration advice. The Expat Blueprint is an editorial publication, not a law firm or licensed immigration consultancy. No attorney–client relationship is created by its use. Your specific case — visa eligibility, licensing pathway, tax position — belongs with a licensed professional in your destination country. Our job is to hand that professional a well-organized, verified starting point.

7. Advertising and independence

The Expat Blueprint is reader-funded through the sale of the manual. We do not accept payment from immigration consultancies, law firms, or relocation vendors for placement or recommendations. Official government resources linked from our tools and pages are provided free.
